I'm not sure what the process looks like with other interior designers, however, I thought I would speak to what you can expect when you work with ME.
I think there are a few preconceived notions regarding hiring an interior designer. Perhaps, the biggest is the cost associated with it. Personally, I have tried to price my services so the average person can afford them. If you feel otherwise, I am open to feedback. I am not looking to get rich. My goal is to demonstrate that you CAN create a beautiful home without checking to see if you are still young enough to donate ovaries or whatever it is that you would do to generate a significant amount of money. The whole reason I chose to start a business was to help people create an amazing space that made them feel like the best version of themselves on a budget that wouldn't break the bank. As I have mentioned before, one of my very favorite resources is KSL, which is similar to Craigslist. I promise you I have found some AMAZING furniture on there. It takes some time and some sifting, but there are tons of items on there from people who bought something online and didn't like the way it looked when it arrived and need to sell it because it costs an arm and a leg to ship it back.
So how I like to begin the process is by assessing the room in question for a new look. I like to find out whats working in this space and what isn't. Its also important to find out what colors you love and don't love. And of course, the budget for the room. It would shock you what I can do with $300....just saying....
Here comes the most important part, at least in my mind. Based on what you need for your space and what your budget negates I will give you options and you get to decide what speaks to you and what doesn't. I can't emphasize enough this is your room, not my room. I am here to help guide you through the process. I really appreciate having control in my own life and I can't imagine you feel any different. Its important that your space reflect you not me.
It can feel overwhelming to know where to start or even what to buy and I get that. Thats why I am here. We can and will do this together!
See, it's not so hard, is it? What are you waiting for? Let's get going on that new room. Together.
